Postby Gladiator » May 17th, 2021, 9:49 pm

With another lockdown in progress, hobbies and recreation are limited. Last lockdown some men started growing beards. Any advice from bearded Tuners on Products, Advice, Techniques etc for that perfect beard?

YouTube channel Beardbrand. Lots of good tips and advice.

Although you growing a beard, don't forget to from it for a neat appearance. Unless you going for a Viking look which is cool in a different way.

shampoo your beard every couple days, maybe a little baby oil. Don't need the slew of hipster products to drain your wallet

This is what I try to achieve.

I heard Honest Amish is the best.
I prefer beeswax though. I hate oil on my face.

You don't need expensive stuff for your beards bruh. Here's some tips from a former beardo (had to shave mine off since the dog bite)
Do not, under any circumstances use soap on your beard. It will get stiff.Use only shampoo or shower gel.
Most of those fancy products are olive oil and jojoba based or bees wax.Plain ol olive oil works just fine if you want it soft with a slight sheen.Coconut oil smells bad after a few hours.
Take vitamin e and folic acid supplements for quick growth.
Buy a beard brush.Regular hairbrushes are too stiff imo.
Don't drink dhal from a bowl. You will find remnants after

I thought so too wrt the oil. But surprisingly you don't feel the beard oil at all. the Honest Amish products are good but the shelf life is very short. It spoils and separates (the balm). never used the oil though...

Pennywise has a good brand, BeardGuyz, the balm and oil works well.

Pftt, noobs again
Wash as often as your hair.
Don't use products, or if you feel you have to, very light ones.
Don't comb with anything but fingers, well not if your going for the Viking look
Always eat with napkins, or paper towels, though a full beard is a good way to save some food for later.
Buy a proper hair/beard trimmer and learn to maintain whatever look you're going for.
