Depending on the drone, they WILL bond it pending CAA permission. On the plus side you will get charged the exact correct taxes, 20%, 12.5% & 7%

Complete systems are free, dvr etc. wireless still getting wood....

Fun fact on how lovely customs is tho, I have been ordering Wyze cams often since last month got, got charged duty etc on 3 out of 7 shipments. Sometimes I get the feeling they charge based on how they feel when the get to work.

Probably should apply for the approval upfront before customs requests it so you don’t have to wait and waste time paying storage fees ?

Based on the charges the declared value have to be around 200$. I know someone who declared $250 and it got bonded for wrong price.

It was a used older model watch.

But yes if customs decides the real value is more than what the invoice says. They will bond it and give you an appointment to hire a broker to clear it/show your invoice.

Broker fee is atleast a $500

Appointment is atleast 7 days after they bond it.

This was not through a skyBox like Aeropost or WebSource right? because I know they handle this invoice business for you. am I correct?

If you bring your item through a skybox and customs bonds it....then the skybox will charge you for the shipping and tell you collect your documents.

You then have to hire a broker and clear it yourself.

It depends on how your description is, when you prealert you must edit the description to something basic, eg, computer accessories, mobile accessories, instead of the name of the actual item which is what automatically generated, I have better results like that

That is true. I put 'Computer Earbud Headphones' as the best description of the earbuds.

Yea that's true. I had good results being very clear with my description such as cell phone case, cell phone screen protector, etc. The one time I got taxed for a case was when it was described as "cover" by the people in Miami because I forgot to prealert.

And also note, if the shipment includes other items in the box that are taxable, they may just tax everything including the tax free items so ship separately.
