Who exactly online is checking to see if they made the right lenses for you? Do you even know if you got the right lens and if they're working for you as the Optometrist prescribed? Especially with higher prescriptions. OK Suppose you have a cylinder of -3.00 and the axis is a mere 5° off on your online purchase? Would you even be aware of that for your skybox delivery? It's a legal medial device eh. That will not fly locally, and when you receive the glasses locally I recall that it is double checked by the sales people on the machine, and then checked on the patient with a reading chart too. See if this making sense.
But I would have no argument with the consumer who has a right to choose. But now knowing this info. Sunglasses, definitely I buy online. Prescription, no.
