I have seen how bajans treat Haitians too. Just because royal family vacation there doesn't mean their sheit smells sweeter

Motley has a 30-0 Lower House and 18 months left.

While sentiment is high and in her favour, especially with becoming a republic, she will capture the island for a fresh 5 years. Then the dragon will be unleashed.

She is a good strategist.

Rather listen to Bobby make a speech, honestly. The way she talks reminds me of my Standard 3 teacher. Certainly not so much a gifted orator as a nagging schoolmarm.

She is a paid blogger but she's also right. Remember the "call de election now!" cry 2018-2020? When the date was called the same town criers had a fit

That election was rigged

EBC moved boundaries in favor of red government and poll cards was dumped by red government postal workers

Given that the election happened at its almost due date (Aug as opposed to Sep) and the existence of minimum timelines as laid out by the constitution and the EBC why would anyone deep in Politics have been bothered though?

Ketchup and moreso Mustard also basically campaigns year round with Monday night forums and social media machinery anyhows.

One of the possible reasons for the snap, seems there is a lot of discontent on the island with Mia's leadership and leadership style

You want her to "inspire" someone?

Let her dip in that Bajan pocket & spend some bajan coin to start fixing the problems she talking about that need addressing, instead of talkin about resolve & commitment & watching to see who dips first.
D bajans known well for that old kaiso "tek yuh meat out meh roice"

So where does that leave us? We don't even have a leader who could even speak that way, genuine or not
We have "cyat" "groom like golf course", "me eh in yuh bedroom" "bodily fluids" jammetry"................

You are correct ! :D

Our "Leader" does not speak to ALL . It's a fluke if you examine closely .

He has his audience . And the writing is on the Wall . There will be no change .

The choice beckons the young population to seek success elsewhere .

The results can be seen in Tobago and the exodus of our beloved Nurses .

As said many many times professional and young - seek your life elsewhere .

Mottley in Time Magazine's most influential list
There are some who stand tall and stand out no matter where they are from—whether a large, densely populated country or a small island nation. Prime Minister Mia Mottley of Barbados is one such person.

Rowley and Kamla next year!

Talk is cheap, and she does allot of it to the media and keyboard warriors. Some of my work colleagues in Bim gave me the rundown, she’s basically a Phillip Alexander to any sensible bajan and her parliamentary team are constantly in deficit and no confidence.

But the flip side of it, being a tourist heavy and global hotspot, a person who can talk bringing in alot of outside attention in the positive ways.

I have actually heard this quite a lot... But didn't she recently win a snap election by a landslide?

Will she be responding to the accusations that Barbados beauty clinics received stem cells from illegally aborted fetuses in Ukraine under the full knowledge of the bajan government?
