FINANCE Minister Colm Imbert committed an unlawful act when he decided to not recommend a former assistant commissioner of the Board of Inland Revenue (BIR) to the post of commissioner, the High Court has ruled.

During a virtual hearing yesterday, the court quashed Imbert’s decision and granted declarations sought by Rohonie Ramkissoon that Imbert had acted in bad faith.

While the presiding judge, Justice Margaret Mohammed, did not grant an order compelling the minister to reconsider Ramkissoon’s post, she held that the minister had unlawfully bypassed her for the post.

Ramkissoon has however since resigned from the BIR, therefore, the minister cannot again recommend her to the post of commissioner. It was for this reason that the court did not order the minister to do so.

unc not attracting more voters, that is the max tribe amount they have. pnm voters dont vote for policies, they vote tribe.

they won the last election with a song and a dance. no policies comparable to PP performance.
PNM only won 2020 due to the pandemic....it was their saving grace ,lewwe be real. If we evaluate the PNMs performance from 2015 to 2020 it was anything but stellar. Then kamla said somethings that made ppl question such as touching NIB fund and talk of a dome but regardless of that if you look at the performance of the PP compared to that of the tenure of the Rowley administration....performance beats ole talk any time.

What performance Kamla did for her almost 6 years or being in office. Let's be real now. Stop talking a pack of sh*t.

All Kamla did was play dress up for those years. She never cared to govern. She had one of the largest mandates in country's history and made no kinda reforms whatsoever.

Kamla is a certified waste. Next

Fool, what did the LFD RFD PNM do with their mandates? You so dotish that you drowning in sheit, but rather than study dat, you studying who is Indian?

The Finance Ministry has allocated certain legal funding because it appears to be a target of “UNC members” and has to deal with a barrage of litigation flowing from them.

Minister of Finance Colm Imbert indicated this in Parliament yesterday during the Standing Finance Committee examination of the Finance Ministry’s $7.9 billion allocation in the 2023 Budget.

It honestly feels as though the belt tighteners and living Home Ec textbooks are outnumbered by the joke squad.
You know how insulting that after doing all one can do to conserve and live efficiently, to get lumped in with the crowd who laughing as the country falls further into ruin?

It doh even feel rewarding anymore to brace the campaigners MC when they come around election time and tell them to find their people.

M00t, Zuckerberg and the Chinese government must be proud cause their conditioning turn the majority into a pack of compliant morons with this memeing jackass culture.
