good luck bro, these days you hada take any work you get even shitty physical labourous ones and paying crap. best bet is to try some entrepeneer business, cause plenty people unemployed and most of the people who are employed have shitty low paying jobs they over qualified for. wwgd.
at least this way you could put in the effort and build your own self. of course if you willing.

^ taking out any large scale capital based excersices at this point in time is unwise... the full economic effects of covid reamin to be seen but so far each and every day we see more and more businesses cutting staff salaries or retrenching permanent enployees... my advise would be not to engage in any entrepreneural acts at this point in time... as the future is quite uncertain... scientists anticipate a vacine for covid in the next 12 to 18 months... and even if their are no hiccups with that vacine... i am sure trinidad and tobago is low on the recipient country list for said vacines... so if u want to open your own business... my advice would be to wait till 2025 by that time the full economic effects of covid 19 should have tapered out

^ i get your point... and i may have been over the top with my opinion but essentially... at this point in time... your product/service demand is uncertain as companies have started trimming wages and salaries... if income streams are uncertain the best business to go into is those with guaranteed demand... like u suggested... during a pandemic that would be groceries/pharmacies (pharamcies and all may be a stretch so lets say places like pennywise)... those kind of businesses require alot of start up capital... and the closest u will get to is a mini mart whose demand is kinda off and on.. thats why imo starting up a business now is very iffy and i wouldnt advise anyone to do so at this current moment... also please keep in mind we have not felt the economic ramifications of low energy prices and the protests (and more than likely boom in covid infections as a result of the lack of social distancing) in the US (our biggest trading partner)... all in all i am just saying things are bad... we not seeing it fully cause of government interventionsas well as the fact that too a large extent public sector jobs are untouched... but post elections... that will change and at the start of 2021 u will see the real TnT imo

Please also remember at any point in time government can reimpose restrictions... what will happen to your business then?

like he doesn't have bills to pay and mouths to feed. the only way you can survive without a job and no business is by relying on others charity/support, for some people this is not an option.
if he can't get a job quickly then he must find an entrepreneurial avenue to support himself.
there will always be ways to provide a service of some kind especially during these times.

how much saving do you think people really have? things are very hard for the average person and when the savings are finished then what? back to square 1 with now no savings or ability to invest in a small start up. why not use the little bit of money to buy something like a whacker or car washing supplies? grass still needs cutting and cars still need washing pandemic or not. at least then you can get some income to keep you going

For you to make ends meet in a small business (like what u suggested their) u need high demand for your services... right now people penny pinching as they have either... a.lost their jobs... b. got wage cuts ... or c. saving furiousoly as they are fearful of a and b... in this time of penny pinching services like weed whacking and car washing (also forgive me if i am wrong but aren't dry season restrictions like no hoses still in effect due to the danderously low resevoir levels) are far off people's radar... additionaly if covid cases spike back up and tnt decides to restrict services for another 2 months... all that money spent to start up your budiness is now idle... so u left with even less now to survive... i get your points i really do... and at the rnd of the day is your choice... to do what u wanna do... just think of all the pros and cons or the certainties and uncertainties fully before making decisions like these in our currrnt economic climate

so your thinking is just sit at home and deplete whatever money you have saved until you have to sell up your possessions and then well starve and die but hope that the economy turns around before that? or is it that you think everyone is able to go ask family and friends for handouts?

Sorry to see this is your situation, I hope you find something soon.
As mentioned before, right now is not the time to be starting a starting a small business with any capital you may have, or leveraging your assets for capital to start a small business. Short reason, people not spending like they used to, & purchasing of nonessentials is right now almost a thing of the past. To show you, food sales from KFC to even ice cream vendors feeling the squeeze. These days, everybody dong what they need done for themselves too. Seen quite a few women washing their own cars lately, men cutting their own grass and fixing their own vehicles, doing their own small home repairs, etc. So unless you are 110% sure and can prove that the business you starting can never be affected by people not spending on nonessentials, starting your own business now it isn't a good idea, and burning thru your savings isn't a good idea either.

Take whatever job you can get, but try to avoid private security unless you like headache & abuse & being robbed by your employer. If you have a vehicle, you can use that to make an income for yourself. You could offer a shuttle service for people that travel, pick up & drop off. Also, if you have the land space, start a small garden home focused on short term crops so you would have something to sell to bolster your income in the not too distant future. If you get creative and don't mind a little extra hard work, you can pack a lot of short term crops in a relatively small area & sale from those crops when the time comes can turn a decent profit for the expense of your time & effort & money spent.

hope you gt. Not saying this is your situ, but being unemployed right now especially if you renting & have kids is real presha

On a Sunday I does wash my car plus my neighbors two cars for "free". The mother and daughter next door are Muslim and they make some bess food. So guess who gets 3 to 4 free incredible meals per week plus deserts whenever the daughter is catering for some small event. Worth it
