but in the same breath,
you realistically do not know if the average person is healthy unless they have done extensive medical tests or keep getting regular checkups
the average person does not
many of us have underlying medical conditions or comorbidities that are unchecked and uncontrolled.
isn't it easier or makes more sense that everyone vaccinate with the free vaccine rather than risk getting the full brunt of corona?
isn't it a smarter option than risk having to be hospitalized? if even for the sole purpose of freeing up the health care system for those that REALLY need it?
in your experience or from that of your peers(because i know most doctors all in big whatsapp chat groups with each other where they share info and advice), of the people who end up hospitalized, isn't it true that they wouldn't have ended up in hospital if they were vaccinated ?
Phone Surgeon wrote:Guess we saying the same thing.
Hadda accept that a big portion of people simply not going to vaccinate due to their own beliefs or fears
So might as well open everything and live life normal and let whatever happen happen.

A sizable population with COVID-naive immune systems remains as targets for first time COVID infections.

Doubt we going to get much worse unless something stronger than omicron mutates

The risk for adults of being admitted to hospital with Omicron was about one third of that for the Delta variant, the U.K. Health Security Agency said in a briefing.
The analysis also found that the risk of needing emergency care or being admitted to a hospital with with Omicron was about half of that for Delta.
Latest figures from the U.K. showed there were 14,210 patients hospitalized in England with COVID-19 by Jan. 3, the highest since Feb. 20 last year, but lower than the peak of 34,336 recorded in January 2021.

I coming to realize covid really is over and now we should kinda free up with this thing. Nobody should be losing their job because of vaccination mandates anymore

Most importantly its time for these people who's been 'working from home' for the last two years to be brought back out, the free ride is over. Only teachers were actually working from home
