If you know anyone who had it bad, ask yourself this:

1.) were they active?
2.) even If they were active, did they eat plenty foods cooked in seed oils?
3.) Did they get actual sunlight or just soul sucking artificial light?

Why are Trinidadians so gullible?

Anyhow, as we await Mr PariaMan, I will post my aforementioned stats from the CDC (ent we like to TrUsT tHe ExPeRtS?)

https://www.cdc.gov/pcd/issues/2021/21_0123.htm

Underlying Medical Conditions and Severe Illness Among 540,667 Adults Hospitalized With COVID-19, March 2020–March 2021

Image

Conclusion:
Conclusion

Certain underlying conditions and the number of conditions were associated with severe COVID-19 illness. Hypertension and disorders of lipid metabolism were the most frequent, whereas obesity, diabetes with complication, and anxiety disorders were the strongest risk factors for severe COVID-19 illness. Careful evaluation and management of underlying conditions among patients with COVID-19 can help stratify risk for severe illness.

So let me just summarize + simplify this for the common Trinidadian.

OBESITY : Curable by not being a fatty sitting around all day (diet/lifestyle)
HYPERTENSION : Curable by not being a fatty sitting around all day (diet/lifestyle)
DIABETES: Curable by not being a fatty sitting around all day (diet/lifestyle)
ANXIETY : Curable with therapy + changes to diet/lifestyle.

Now ask yourself, was the average Trinidadian healthy in the first place?
Why should the healthy suffer restrictions because you could not take care of your self?

45% COVID-19 victims had no comorbidities

Mortality data show more deaths in younger age segments

At least 45% of patients who succumbed during the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic had no underlying comorbid conditions, according to a mortality analysis undertaken by the Health Department.

The study, which examined a total of 866 deaths that occurred till May 31 during the second wave, found that while 461 patients had some form of comorbidity — most commonly diabetes mellitus, hypertension or chronic renal disease — 404 patients had no underlying risk. No data was available in the case of one patient, a document prepared by the Health Department noted.

This is also the point in the mortality graph where the second wave has pulled away to differentiate itself from the chart of the first wave of COVID-19 that began in January-March in 2020. The other departure was in the high proportions of deaths in the younger age segments with the study finding that 32.2% of casualties were in the 45-60 age group.

The age-wise mortality charts showed that 8.5% were in the 19-44 years age bracket and 1.1% in the 6-18 age group. Taken together, almost 42% of second wave deaths was among those less than 60 years.

Take into account , that the average for health nowadays has dropped significantly eh

Just cuz someone ain't breathing hard and need a cane, doesn't mean that they are healthy.

Sorry for your loss, I know someone who died from it as well. Wasn't as active as someone can be for someone her age.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

But on the flipside, I also know 4 people who died from the VACCINE.
(3 were Middle aged/old dudes, normal potbelly dadbods, one was a dude in his 30s with a /slight/ belly)

FYI my friends mom, a perfectly healthy woman at 57, died last week after suffering from Covid damage she had since April. It won't count as a Covid death, but she had severe kidney and heart damage. Not sure what suddenly triggered her to get so ill over her last few days, as she seemed to have recovered. But when she into the hospital their tests showed poor kidney function, high blood sugar (she never was diabetic) and very high blood pressure.

Doctors say it seems like her kidney damage crept up and then failed leading to her untimely death, which happened the day after she went to the hospital.

Condolences - RIP
Per chance was the woman vaccinated ?
If YES - What brand ( i.e. Moderna, AZ, Sino etc ) of vaccine was administered ?

No she wasn't, back then it was over 60 only but to be honest, they are small church people and I won't be surprised if they were anti vax.

Actually started reading about her issues just now and found this - https://www.webmd.com/lung/news/2021042 ... -infection

Definitely seems like she falls into that bracket. It seems as if it may have triggered diabetes that led to kidney failure. He said before she got severely ill she was complaining about headaches and fatigue which everyone (including her) thought it would pass.

For those of you who have recovered from covid or know someone who has, please monitor their health as this virus can really take a toll on some people.

In the USA

New Vaccine Mandates Are Coming For Government Employees And Health Care Workers

Across the country, officials are rolling out new requirements for mandatory vaccines for public employees — and the possibility of penalties if they fail to comply — as cases of the delta variant of the coronavirus rise sharply and vaccination rates stall.

The announcements came in quick succession on Monday in the country's most populous city and state. In New York City, Mayor Bill de Blasio announced all city workers would have to either get vaccinated or tested weekly for the virus. In California, Gov. Gavin Newsom declared a similar policy for state employees and health care workers.

At the federal level, Secretary of Veterans Affairs Denis McDonough said the department will require front-line health care workers to get vaccinated in the next two months. It will be the first government agency to set such a mandate.

And a range of medical groups representing millions of doctors, nurses, pharmacists and other health workers released a statement calling for all health care and long-term care employers to require their employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19.

Just like lockdowns, this is also inevitable.

Aren’t lockdowns only a thing in Trinidad and Tobago ?
