Will we be able to eliminate flooding 100%? No. Can we reduce the incidences of flooding? Yes.
Dredging existing drains, repairing existing ones where required, and building new ones especially during dry season will reduce incidences of flooding during wet season. What about building storm drains and detention ponds? Incidences are even more reduced when we deal with the grading of hills and mountains for quarry and construction projects. Review laws to address plastics pollution, slash and burn, etc? 2 pentax pump by the beetham not going to cut it.
But i know pnm mentality very well... when flooding happens in central and south, pnm will blame hindus and say that God teaching them a lesson. When flooding happens up North, pnm will skip poor representation they voted for and compare to other countries that flooding and say that we can't stop that. When they get a mattress and a hamper, they will thank God for small mercies until the next flood.

Sad but true. Some years ago, there was a flood north side,Diego I believe and the general red brigade consensus was that Hindu people does throw bamboo in the river when they have prayers.Completely absurd if you know what bamboo is used for in hindu prayers.Wraith King wrote:The_Honourable wrote:Idiotic comment Habit7... eric williams was a class act but he didn't die for this.

That is all I am saying.
Everything else is an attempt to put words in my mouth, mount a political platform and call every comment you don't like "PNM."

Only in TT I hear ppl say it could be eliminated with box drains and dredging rivers whistle clean.

Really?
What are the 2 different things.

Positive measure being box drains and whistle clean rivers eliminating flooding?

He usually handles it on his own, but I find lately he lapsing and talking a lot of tootoo.
Not hearing as much from Redman, like he seeing it too and distancing himself.
Is really time to beam up RASC and CJ.
On a serious note, I love seeing PNM areas flood out.
I hope this becomes a daily thing as of now.
But bear in mind if PNM cannot fix flooding in their areas, they will just move the occupants to UNC areas.
Sure it will be the same flooding, but PNM knows their residents will bend over and take it silently, as long as it means the non-PNM suffer too. This is why I love PNM.
"I-rather-eat-rowlee-tootoo-than-vote-unc" kinda bizness

So for Habit7 to play it off like it's nothing (because it happening to other nations) and then assign a negative tone to effective measures that a lot of communities pleading for is insensitive. Political bias has left him with little or no humanity.

This is what happens when you are devoid of an argument. You reference tone, from something you subjectively read.
Continue reaching.

I am amazed that the problem has been there so long and hasn’t been rectified. This pic is South Quay in front City Gate.
