Land tax question

Anyone who is knowledgable on land taxes, here is the situation:

For a particular house and land, taxes were never paid, even before they stopped it in 2009. Do they still have to pay taxes? if so what is the procedure? Just go into the inland revenue office and pay?

You need to go to a district revenue office and see if they will take the money. Most likely not. You also need to know for how many years the taxes are due.

There is an amnesty that ends of Sept 15th so you better get moving.

Yeah walk with your deed or L&B number, go in and pay. As bluefete said, it have a Tax Amnesty till Sept 15th. You would not have to pay the penalty fees over the years so move fast.

Still cant believe that up to now, its been 10years they trying to sort out this land tax thing.
