AGL is still good to hold IMO.

It should be at $75 in 2-3 years.

I sold way too early as usual.
Oh well.
Earnings soon we'll see how that goes.

UCL results in

EPS .21 versus .22 for the corresponding period in 2021 for continuing operations

Virtually unchanged

The discontinued operations had contributed an additional .10 profit for the same period

It's pretty clear why they chose 4.30 as the dividend

Logic could have been as follows:
One third of profits gone therefore share price of $15 will drop to $10 and around $5 in dividend

Sold Massy at 6.88 and 5.98 immediately after criss list and split

Bought back at 5.15

Results seems to indicate an increase in profit over 6 months but a decrease over 3 months

Yeah, it might drop $5 or more after record date. Man with belly could speculate on that, I dunno nah.
edit- Some entity has been offloading UCL by the 50,000 over the last few weeks. Anytime the offers at $16-16.15 are bought, another 50,000 shows up!!

And yeah NGL looking promising in the short term.

Look like they firmly believe thats the better cost of action rather than wait for the dividend

Very interesting I must say

any numbers on AGL dividend % over last few years ?
too lazy to look up myself

was going through the ttcd website of notices and was able to pull up how much dividends I made last couple years
wish they had tools on the website to do those thing instead of having to click on each shareholder pdf notice.

see pg 12 here:
http://www.agostini-mktg.com/images/202 ... t-2021.pdf

consistently 3 - 3.5% I believe

UCL... well, the tea business was a major earner, almost half of their income I think.
So after the dividend, maybe the PE might be too high...
Then there's the closure of the spreads manufacturing and with it, the retrenchment expenses...
At least it appears that the sales at $16.15 are done... for now.

NGL results are due over the next couple of days

It will probably be fantastic

Can we expect a jump in the share price?

Just got the last dividend. 50 cents a share or about 2.5 %

The share price hardly skipped a beat so it was basically free money

That will be in mid Aug. So from July.
Maybe. Who knows.

NGL, AGL earnings out. AGL blew it out of the park as expected. This will only improve as they're buying Bdos' largest pharmaceutical company - Collins- which distributes thoughout the Caribbean.

AGL $80 in 2 yrs.

NGL steady earnings. ripe for a flip in July/august.

WCO best dividend stock.

JMMB earnings soon. JMMB owns over 20% of Sagicor. It's a great long term hold IMO.

PHL another one for the long term.

AGL sounds promising but that 100 percent increase recently makes it hard to believe that the growth is not factored in already

Lulz.
I will bring up this post in 2 yrs.

Pay attention to earnings growth. Its up 50% annualized this year. There's no reason why it shouldn't grow by at least 20% annually in the next couple years. Do the PE math.

Earnins per share went from 63 cents to 88 cents an increase of 40 percent

Share price went from about 24 to 48 which is a 100 percent increase

I staying out for now

I feel NGL is a better bet for a short term gain . That is at least to the end of the year

Just my opinion on my way forward. I may be wrong lol

Bourne view and I quote

At a current price of $46.00 and having appreciated 41.5% year to date, AGL trades at a Price to Earnings Ratio of 19.8 times, relative to its historical P/E multiple (average trailing P/E 2018-2021: 15.2 times) and above the Trading sector’s average of 13.1 times. AGL currently offers shareholders a trailing dividend yield of 2.0%, relative to a sector average of 2.3%.
On the basis of acquisition activities and improving margins but tempered by elevated valuations, Bourse assigns a MARKETWEIGHT rating to AGL

Now seeing another results came out for 6 months

This saw a 50 percent increase as well in profits

Also I see purchase of Collins to close by end of June and earnings will be added once completed but I also see Bourse point about elevated valuations

Share price increased from 24.50 on Dec 7 2021 to 47.66 today which is May 17th

Which is roughly a 100 percent increase

So far we only seeing a 50 percent increase in earnings

The question is would the purchase of Collins cause the earnings to jump to 100 percent to match the share price increase when added in from the end of June

I really not sure of that

If growth not counting Collins acquisition continues at 50 percent for the rest of the year and share price at 46 then the PE at the end of the year will be 15.28 . This will be in line with historical but still above sector average of 13.1

However Collins acquisition will add to the earnings . Question is by how much?

If it's a significant amount then there will be an upside on that 46 dollar share price by the end of the year

Yeah, man, AGL results came out last wk- that's what I referred to ^^^^^^ including the Collins buyout, I dunno why its not on the TTSE site, neither is NGL which also came out over the weekend.

Note, I said AGL $80 in TWO years eh - not EOY.
EPS of $3.20 is probable this year end. At a pe of 15 that works out to ~$48 fair price. In two yrs, EPS could conceivably be ~$5.50. Do the math. Remember that share prices are usually based on expected results, not current results.
But also be aware, i'm not a pro. I could be totally wrong.

I stop taking on Bourse a while now. If I paid attention to them, I would have lost out on my almost 100% gains on NCBFG and JMMB pre-pandemic. And also my AGL win recently. They rated every facting stock as "neutral".
