Riverine Flood Alert #3 - Yellow Level
Updated Issuance time #2 (local time)Thu, Nov 10, 2022 3:05 PM
End date (local time)Fri, Nov 11, 2022 4:00 PM
The major rivers are on the downward trend but Caroni (El Carmen) still remains at a critical level of 94%. The smaller watercourses are currently below 50% and receding. Additional rainfall is expected overnight into tomorrow and this in addition to high tides can cause further runoff to be slow. As a result, there remains a moderate risk to public safety, livelihood and property. High tides are approximately 4:45pm for today (Thursday 10th November) and 5:56am & 5:18pm tomorrow (Friday 11th November).
Instructions: Carefully monitor weather conditions and river/water levels. Do not wade through flood waters. Monitor updates from official sources and plan safety measures, including emergency supplies of food and water. Do not take unnecessary risks. Follow the instructions of government officials. More information: www.metoffice.gov.tt ; www.odpm.gov.tt.
Area description: Major watercourses and smaller tributaries across Trinidad and Tobago
