ADVERSE WEATHER ALERT DISCONTINUATION - GREEN LEVEL
Description- The potential for impactful weather over Trinidad and Tobago is significantly reduced. However, partly cloudy to cloudy periods are likely at times over few areas with a chance of isolated heavy showers or thunderstorms. Although some additional rainfall is likely, this is not expected to significantly hinder further runoff. Landslips/landslides are still possible as soils remain saturated.
Instructions- Be alert and continue to monitor weather conditions and updates from official sources via www.metoffice.gov.tt and www.odpm.gov.tt.
Area description- Northern Trinidad, Tobago and surrounding marine areas.
RIVERINE FLOOD ALERT #2 - ORANGE LEVEL is still in effect!

meanwhile, after it pass we

...TROPICAL STORM JULIA FORMS OFF THE GUAJIRA PENINSULA...
...HURRICANE WATCHES AND WARNINGS ISSUED FOR NICARAGUA AND THE OFFSHORE COLOMBIAN ISLANDS...
At 1100 AM EDT (1500 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Julia was about 110 miles west of the northern tip of Guajira Peninsula, Colombia. Julia is moving toward the west near 18 mph (30 km/h). A westward motion with some decrease in forward speed is expected through Sunday. On the forecast track, the center of Julia is expected to move across the southwestern Caribbean Sea during the next couple of days, passing near San Andres and Providencia Islands Saturday evening, and reaching the coast of Nicaragua Sunday morning. After landfall, Julia or its remnants are expected to turn west-northwestward and move across Central America through Monday.
Data from an Air Force Reserve Hurricane Hunter aircraft indicate that maximum sustained winds have increased to near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts. Additional strengthening is forecast, and Julia is expected to become a hurricane by Saturday evening before it reaches San Andres and Providencia Islands, and the coast of Nicaragua. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 80 miles (130 km) from the center. The minimum central pressure is 1002 mb (29.59 inches) based on data from the reconnaissance aircraft.

trend holds; if it passes over us it usually is weak, to strengthen after it passes. if its strong, it veers north.

Is that what they say? Or that weather especially where Trinidad is located is fairly difficult to accurately predict. Seems they decided to err on the side of caution saying that unstable conditions may occur from midnight. At 5am it was very overcast in Diego Martin and there was signs that there was a light rain earlier.

Real feeling it for the folks who were experiencing rising waters with no rainfall yesterday, and now today there's an intermittent drizzling.

Gonzales cited the procurement of a GOES-16 satellite receiving system by the Meteorological Services “to enhance capability to monitor and analyse evolving weather conditions.”

The National Ocean and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA’s) GOES-16 satellite was launched in 2017. It provides high-definition images and other data for weather forecasting, severe storm tracking and meteorology research. NOAA’s website stated its pictures show full-disc view of the Western Hemisphere in high detail resolution, allowing pinpointing of the location of severe weather with greater accuracy. GOES-16 can provide a full image of Earth every 15 minutes.

This was already freely available to the entire world from NOAA. What the ass he even talking about? There are many options and data available for meteorologists to interpret forecasts. Sometimes I would post lightning strike gifs from there. Nice fooling again from the PNM.

You know if u actually was from Trinidad and know its geography you'll know whatever happens in the East comes straight down Caroni and central right king kant? Like what's literally happening right now.
