Possibly high pressure to the west, low pressure to the east,MaxPower wrote:brickman wrote:Weather radar showing heavier stuff coming in from the west later, glad im inside today.Making sure everything fully charged up & locked down because these winds are picking up & with all this thunder and lighting won't be surprised if powers goes out.Pre hurricane season drill today.
Rather unusual that the weather is moving from west to east….low pressure system.
Keep warm friends, and try not to panic.
Anybody frighten, the team always here to console and be the crying shoulder.

Ben,
Remarkable observation.
If anyone was to do a search, i did mention that anything below 5N is reason to worry. Anything higher always seem to “veer” above T&T and spare us as usual.
Anything below 5N and intensifying……Trinis saying God is a Trini could only go so far.

You have historical data to show that?
redmanjp wrote:^early start to rainy season then. i glad. a couple of weeks of rain/flood should be enough for wasa to lift the hose ban
Your answer then is "no."MaxPower wrote:Duane 3NE 2NR wrote:MaxPower wrote:Ben_spanna wrote:What concerns me is that wave coming off the African coast already, and it’s way down at 7North coming across…

Check this Duaney and let me know what you think. You more than likely saw this already. But the lower the North line, the closer the track to T&T.
This hurricane that hit us smack on started around 7N and kept that Westerly track to us. But based on the trend of the systems for the past decade, we have more north westerly movements which always seem to graze the top of our head.
Now there is no historical data per say, but one can logically say that if a severe system was to start around 5N, combined with the north westerly movement, it can be catastrophic. As Ben said, 7N is a bit low and concerning especially if it goes lower.
But no need to panic Duaney, Coriolis force works in our favor……..usually.
