This was a minor weather event. Nothing is wrong with trees near roadways but like all vegetation its needed to be cut, treated and maintained.

Caroni Arena Dam is at currently 100% while Long Term is 55% (historical average?) according to WASA release yesterday. Should this be concerning given that the rivers are also nearing capacity? According to the wasa site:

https://www.wasa.gov.tt/WASA_Education_water_Reservoir_Arena.html
during the wet season when the rivers are high, draws water from the river and diverts it to the reservoir for storage
How effective is this at 100% capacity? We haven't even seen a solid multi day rain event.
Also 100% capacity for Navet and Hillsbourough, Tobago.

TTWeatherCenter - 8:30 PM - Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms are affecting T&T with heavier rainfall favoring eastern areas. Similar conditions are forecast through the night.

Seems like we will never get cold weather. So warm weather will always push those storms etc above us?

As they move across the oceans their paths are steered by the presence of existing low and high pressure systems, as well as the Coriolis force. The latter force causes the storms to eventually start turning to the right in the northern hemisphere and to the left in the southern hemisphere.
