Trinidad schools still scheduled for class tomorrow, unless MoE puts out a notice between tonight and tomorrow.

Waiting on Rowley to make the call

Rowley in some serious trouble right now.

For those who called it early. I gone sleep now.

PariaMan wrote:Calling it now its gonna miss Trinidad. Looking at latest satellite it is just north of Tobago

God is indeed a trini

SuperMan9999 wrote:This storm is clearly not headed for Trinidad we might get some rain if so much.

Remember Trinidad sits outside the hurricane belt. This storm will miss us by some miles well, we will be lucky if we even get rain.

Similar mph winds....Bret had 60 mph at its peak. This one they predicting 50 mph I think.

Yeah but we not getting hit by this storm, it's already gone north. Even Tobago is probably gonna be spared at this point

DMan7 wrote:Allya worried allya selves for nothing. The storm has "veered north" and has passed us. God is INDEED a Trini.

VexXx Dogg wrote:The latest update from NHC looks like winds would be to the northeast and bago.

The wind finder app shows the heavy precipitation doing almost a pole vault over central and south.

Weather.com hourly forecast for COUVA shows very minor rain/wind activity overnight and they supposed to be decently accurate

Trinidad and Tobago Weather Center:

Where did #PTC2 go?
It seems like it has taken advantage of the "and" in Trinidad and Tobago. The strongest winds moved between Trinidad and Tobago.
A new cluster of showers & thunderstorms has developed west of Grenada, likely where the new center has developed.
Rainfall isn't finished with T&T through! Tobago experienced thunderstorm activity over the last hour, with sustained winds up to 40 KM/H. To our east, trailing bands are still forecast to affect T&T on Wednesday with scattered showers and thunderstorms.
The TTMS maintains the Tropical Storm Warning for T&T. The next substantial update will be issued by the National Hurricane Center at 11:00 PM where Tropical Storm Warnings will be updated.

What a relief that they were mostly wrong about the landfall at Trinidad (so far). Sorry for Tobago who bear the brunt of the system.

Sleep soundly. If anything changes, MOE will put out a very late notice as they did with the daycare reopenings.

They're still predicting this to become a storm and later a hurricane down the line. It has just gone past Trinidad so our worries are over as far as we are concerned.

Next easterly tropical wave on the line looking less than 1 day away on the isobar map on page 1. And another right after that. Price of local bodi will definitely be affected before the week done.

I called it, all these big satellite imagery ppl studying from large global sized maps. The accuweather and NOAA app if you zoom into Trinidad it showed exactly what took place with the deviation off and precipitation forecasts as it approached land

Flooding still very possible as NHC still has 4 to 6 inches in their 11pm update.
