Periods of rain and/or showers are expected over at least the next 24 hours. There is a high (70%) chance that some of the rainfall activity may become heavy and thundery with the threat of gusty winds in excess 50km/hr. Street/flash flooding and localized ponding are likely in heavy downpours.

POTENTIAL TROPICAL CYCLONE SIX FORMS IN THE ATLANTIC.
As of 5:00pm today (9th August, 2021), the first area of disturbed weather, Area1, has been upgraded to Potential Tropical Cyclone Six. The system is located 260km south east of Dominica, centered near 14N59W and is moving west northwest near 24Km/hr. This system is forecast to intensify into a Tropical Storm as it moves through the northern Lesser Antilles tonight, bringing Tropical Storm conditions.
Showers and thunderstorms assocaited with the secound area of disturbed weather, Area 2, have diminished. Environmental conditions have become unfavourable and development of this system is no longer expected.
The TTMS will continue to closely monitor this system and will issue an update at 8:00 pm tonight.
