The opposition only weak because we don't have a strong government. If Karen Nunes Teiseira was leader of the pnm, kamla would have been a better opposition leader

Saddam not ready yet but I believe he is being groomed to be a future leader by Kamla.

When will the UNC think-tank (if such a thing even exists) force Kamla to sober up and smell the coffee?

Despite public discontent with the People’s National Movement (PNM), the party will handily win a general election if called soon, a North American Caribbean Teachers Association (NACTA) opinion poll has found.

According to the study by Dr Vishnu Bisram, the PNM has the advantage because the public does not view the Opposition United National Congress as an alternative government.

Kamla is unelectable. House cleaning required.

UNC Councillor crosses political floor

Image

Kelly Village/Warrenville councillor, Samuel Sankar, has crossed the political floor, leaving the Opposition United Congress (UNC) for the People’s National Movement (PNM.)

The announcement was made on Tuesday night at a PNM meeting at Signature Hall in Chaguanas.

Sankar sat in the front row amongst his new colleagues as the announcement was made by PNM Senator Renuka Sangramsingh, to loud cheers from PNM supporters.

On August 9, Sankar defied an order from UNC leader, Kamla Persad-Bissessar for her party’s councilors to stay away from a Local Government reform consultation.

A day later, he told Guardian Media he had received death threats and had made a report to police.

At that time, he denied claims he was planning to cross the floor.

Sankar’s move comes with Local Government elections on the horizon, constitutionally due between December 2022 and March 2023.

e dotish. Timing wrong.
He's not going to win his old seat with a PNM ticket.
They'll call him Judas during the runup. He'll lose his small seat and end up a footnote in some PNM candidate booklet, like Ian.

He should hold strain, and cross the floor the week after he won on the UNC ticket.
Kinda like what Faaiq did to Jack, and look where he is now.

the PNM still have an alderman trump card in their back pocket if he loses.
I figure they promised him a Chairman spot in a PNM corporation for a couple cycles - at least if he helps with optics against the UNC.
