Software Development/Web Development Companies in T&T

What are some of the companies in Trinidad that focus on computer science related work? Are there small or big companies that work on web dev or outsourced software development?

Im finishing my computer science degree and I find it hard to know just who to look for or send in resumes to down here in Trinidad.

Most of what those companies do is turnkey though, so don't be surprised if you won't be writing much code.

You can also try your hands at freelance websites, what is really going to help you get a job is proof of an actual software you developed or contribution to opensource projects etc. Computer Science is however pretty useful if you are developing a 3D engine which requires a lot of math.

You won't find companies doing real computer science work in Trinidad since Computer Science has very little to do with writing code / programming.

Thanks for the replies. I already sent resumes to Medullan and Teleios, haven't heard of Ixanos so that's good. As for my proof of developing software, in my resume, I have a few personal solo/team projects such as a small android AR game, competition/hackathon projects and that sort of thing so I think i'm not too bad on that front.

What I plan to do is do my masters part time as well while working. In that way I might get an advantage if I was to search for jobs away/work remotely for a foreign company. Do you think doing the masters thing is worth it?

Sounds good man I am also developing a game in Unreal Engine 4.

BTW doing a Masters is useless if you can't get a job in software development with a BSc. Actually the most successful programmers are self taught, stack exchange did a survey on it recently. It is a misconception to believe that you even need a degree to get a programming job. What you need is experience, programming can only be learned by practice.

Don't waste your time on masters, what would actually be way more useful to you is try and contribute to opensource projects, create a stack exchange account etc. Slaving for someone else even offering to do some freelance projects for free would have a massive advantage over a masters at this point. Experience is key

For web development in T&T, I've had a good experience with a local company that helped me set up a corporate website for my business. It made a big difference in attracting customers and partners.

Dont waste time and money on a Masters at this stage....im 25 years into the IT field and now considering a masters.
