I was approached on my side, their function was to distract, so that the one on the opposite side of the road could approach.
I could have driven off, as soon as I was approached, I should have had my windows up.
A lesson to us all, be aware, keep moving, keep your doors locked, and windows wound up.
Stay alert, act to avoid situations like this, stay safe.

So what kind of Prison service we have here. So you mean to say there is no proper Surveillance Systems around the Prison. All that money is spent on National security yet still weapons being buried around the Prison. Steups.

Police say the find was made on Friday afternoon.

One of the departmental managers was walking along the main aisle when he observed a brown pouch atop a palette of water.

No one was near the pouch at the time.

He examined the bag and discovered it contained one M&P Smith and Wesson 9mm pistol. The weapon was loaded with 22 rounds of 9mm ammunition.

The police were immediately notified and a team of officers led by Insp Phillip, Sgt Williams, Sgt Reid, PC Seeth, PC Thomas, and others, responded.

The pouch was seized, and upon further examination, an ID card was found inside.

It was said to belong to a well-known doctor from Maraval.

Checks were made, however, and the individual was found to be warded at the San Fernando General Hospital undergoing treatment for hypertension and high blood sugar.

He could not be interviewed due to treatment.

Sgt Reid is continuing inquiries.

Venezuelans, Locals Held with Guns, Drugs in North and Central Trinidad.

Seven persons, two of whom are Venezuelans, are currently being interrogated by detectives in connection with the seizure of a quantity of drugs, guns and ammunition, in North and Central Trinidad yesterday.

The arrests and seizures were a part of an intelligence-led exercise involving a team of officers attached to the Northern Division Task Force (NDTF) who raided a business place and a warehouse in Curepe and Caroni, respectively, on Saturday 27th June, 2021.

According to police reports, at 2.30 pm, NDTF officers first proceeded to an establishment located along Lyndon Street, Curepe, where they executed a search warrant. During the search, police officers allegedly discovered 30 packets of marijuana. Three persons, two of whom are Venezuelans and were present at the location were immediately taken into police custody.

Acting on further intelligence, the party of officers proceeded to a warehouse located along the Southern Main Road, Caroni, where they allegedly found one AR rifle, two Glock pistols and an assortment of ammunition.

Four persons were held in connection with the seizure at the warehouse. Police are currently looking for the owner of the warehouse to assist with the investigation.

Investigations are ongoing.

Doctor leaves loaded gun at PriceSmart

A pouch containing a firearm and 22 rounds of ammunition was found in a shopping aisle at PriceSmart, La Romaine, on Friday.

When police checked the pouch, they saw it belonged to a pathologist, who was hospitalised.

A police report said that around 1.50 p.m. on June 25, a departmental manager at PriceSmart spotted the brown pouch unattended atop a pallet of water in an aisle.

Upon examination, the manager observed the firearm. Police were alerted and Sgt Reid and PCs Seeth and Thomas of La Romaine Police Post responded, and the store’s management handed over the brown pouch.

The officers examined it and found an M&P Smith and Wesson nine-millimetre pistol and two magazines, with 22 rounds of nine-millimetre ammunition.

Officers also found a firearm user’s licence in the name of the pathologist, who lives in Maraval.

Insp Phillip and Sgt Williams of San Fernando CID conducted enquiries at San Fernando General Hospital and found the pathologist undergoing medical treatment.

Some things not adding up here. Lives Maraval, left gun in La Romain, and ended up at SFGH.
Did he "take een" as the old people say? Maybe this is why he left the firearm? Senile?
Reporting leaves a lot to be desired.
