unless you have a community with multiple guards actively patrolling it is not really a deterrent
to them gangsters, plus the repeat offenders they hire to do the dirty work dont care and have nothing to lose committing these crimes16 cycles wrote:shake d livin wake d dead wrote:Reports of a home invasion at milenium park...guns were stolen in addition to more than a 1/4 milli

Security is pretty lackadaisical in those areas. Sunday had to carry my son to a party in one of the Developments on the Millennium Lakes/Sunrise side. Drove into Sunrise Park by mistake and despite being gated the automatic gate was opened for me without anyone coming up to check the vehicle. Same on exiting.
On a different note - they have even shiddier roads than the public.

In watching the CCTV footage from this morning and then from a few days ago they realize one of the men came "begging" on Sunday. He claims he had Cancer and mofo got money ah. Seems he was just scoping out the scenes.
Tunapuna Police say they know him so lets see.
Not sure what these "journalists" doing with a headline like that, making one think it's a petty crime and he getting punished for nothing. Man commit armed robbery with a gun (anyone who does this deserves equal treatment of being shot imo) and stole goods worth more than $1000. Like these news outlets pretending to be deaf to what going on in the country right now all for clicks, likes and shares.killercow wrote:Two years' hard labour for $5 robbery
A 23-year-old man was sentenced to two years of hard labour following a recent report of an armed robbery in Couva, where the victim was relieved of $5 cash and a quantity of cigarettes. Brandon Narine from Calcutta No 2 in Freeport, appeared before Magistrate Alexander Prince in the Couva Magistrates' Court and pled guilty to the offence.
After submissions were made before the court, Narine was found to have had a history of similar offences. After further deliberations, the court handed down a custodial sentence. Narine was jointly charged with Saif Hosein, 24, of Ragoo Gardens in Freeport. Hosein pleaded not guilty. After submissions to the court, the matter was adjourned to April 25 and Hosein was placed on $250,000 bail with a surety.
WPC Corban was the complainant (charging officer) in the matter. The interests of the State were represented by police prosecutor Cpl Kubir-Garcia. The incident took place at 11:30pm on March 25 along Calcutta No 2, Freeport. The 42-year-old victim told police he was walking along the roadway when he was confronted by three men who are known to him as residents of the community.
The men were armed with firearms and announced a hold-up. They proceeded to relieve the victim of his Samsung A03 cell phone worth $950, a pack of Mt D'Or cigarettes, and $5 in cash that he had on his person. They then ran into a nearby red Nissan Frontier van and drove off. The police were immediately notified, and a team of officers led by PC Cole and WPC Corban responded. They were able to trace the phone and recovered it at a nearby home. At the home were Narine and Hosein, who were later identified by the victim. A search is still ongoing for the third suspect, but police said arrests are imminent.
WPC Corban is leading investigations.

So yesterday one of the two bike bandits was caught. He goes very often to a temple in the area to beg and was caught there. My BiL went there while my SiL went to Tunapuna Station to get the police.
From there on the story with TTPS story gives one hell of an insight into why Trinidad is really a Sheithole though. So much passing the buck. Tunapuna say its a CID case. Then they say the officers who took the report have to deal with it and they not on shift till Thursday.
Essentially I am sure home boy back on the streets today. He was even willing to take the TTPS to the location of the 2nd person from the robbery, in Bangladesh, St Joseph where he said the bikes also are as they weren't sold yet.
