Vehicle Transfer in MVA Caroni

Postby cherrb » December 8th, 2017, 9:33 pm

Anyone went to transfer a vehicle in Caroni recently?

How long did it take?

Can you apply for new certified copy one time?

I went in August. Arrived at 9AM and left a little after 12. I was told to come back in a week to apply for a new cc, to get it with your name on it.

I went last month to transfer a pick up and if I stayed 2 hrs for the most and applying for certified copy takes about 3hrs.

If I have to get a change of colour and a new certified copy with the new colour,I could get it in a day or I have to apply for the change of colour first then wait a month and come back?

Thanks for the info.

Another question, I’m the owner of the vehicle that has to be transferred to the new owner who is purchasing it. Can I go in before and start the process before the buyer arrives? Or we both need to be there same time?

Sure you can, fill out the transfer form and take the vehicle to the inspection station to verify the engine and chassis number, then you go inside and sit near to the transfer counter and listen for your vehicle registration number to be called, them both parties will need to be present with two forms of identification..Once that process is completed you have to wait again for them to give you the transfer form to paid at the cashier..And that it, your transfer receipt is your proof ..
