Woman's body dumped near highway walkover

THE bloodied body of a woman was found near the highway in Charlieville on Monday night.

The woman, who appeared to have been stabbed, has been identified as that of 26-year-old Esther Rodriguez.

The woman is a national of the Dominican Republic.

Her body was found at around 10 p.m. near the John Peters walkover.

Officers of the Central Division Task Force, Chaguanas CID and Homicide Region III responded.

The body was removed to the San Fernando mortuary.

Rodriguez was clad in a multi-coloured dress and gold sandals.

Anyone with information can contact Chaguanas CID at 665 9958, or Homicide Region III at 652 0495.

Saw the news from the DR, her family was alerted by a neighbour who saw the photos posted on social media. The cost of bringing her body home to the DR is approx 3000 USD which is impossible for her family without help. Sad sad turn of events.
