Vehicle trade in

Postby goalpost » August 2nd, 2017, 1:04 pm

I am in the process of doing a vehicle trade in with southern Sales. Just wondering what were other people's experiences with this process ( not specifically with Southern Sales).
Thanks

you'll likely get 60-75% of the value you'd get outside.
benefit is that the process is usually quick so you don't have to wait long.

Yeah the perceived quickness is why I decided on the trade. The amount I am getting is just enough to pay off my existing loan. Waiting on them to issue the cheque for me to carry to the bank. Did the transfer at LO today. They said I should get the cheque tomorrow. I am hounding them to push it

I'm assuming it's a vehicle you bought new, so the transfer had to have been from you to SSL? You transferred your vehicle before receiving payment for it or am I missing something here?

Had to wait till next day to get it, but I got thru so that process is completed. Another question tho: kinda unrelated to the trade in process, but more an insurance question.
I completely forgot my certificate of insurance document in the vehicle and wanna go tomorrow early to cancel. Would I be able to still cancel, even without the certificate?

Just for info, seeing that you already got it. The reason that it's needed for cancellation,is that somebody could cancel ,get back a refund but still have the certificate to use. So you either bring it in when you cancel or make a police report, swear to an affidavit and take that in to do the cancellation.
