Was not bad. They seem to have found their tv legs again. No longer seems forced.

They might have been better suited to HBO or Netflix.

I really enjoyed this Season 3 of the GT. The special adventures were good! Overall it was pretty good entertainment and comedy. Very well written and produced this season, seems like they worked out the bugs and got a successful team and formula now.

Apparently the specials are more popular according to Amazon metrics so they've decided to focus on that format. But yeah, this season was the best of the three, though the first episode in the series (hybrid supercar shootout) remains my personal favourite.

It was big of the BBC to allow them to use Top Gear footage in the ending montage but that didn't stop Clakrson from chooking fire in a recent interview eh...

Well I don't know why the ass they just couldn't turn back and navigate nearer to the shores at the end. They lucky no one died in that open ocean stint with such small boats. That was terrifying.

Producer said in an interview some time ago that there will only be 2 shows per year. I hope not and it's at least 5 or 6 like a British Series.

Next adventure is Madagascar.

This is what I understand too. 2 shows per year. That's gonna suck for us

It's an entire battalion of camera crews, assistants, technical people, medics, mechanics, organizers etc who have to prep and follow them. The Patagonia special when they had to flee Argentina to Chile gives a greater understanding of just how many people are involved.

The specials take lots of organizing beforehand. The episodes themselves are probably filmed within a week or 2, but there is much more which has to happen just to get to the point of filming. With the Patagonia special, the trio landed in Buenos Aires on the 17th Sep, and the last day of shooting was 1st October.

Also keep in mind that the trio have other commitments, so suitable time has to be carved out from their schedules.

And after filming they have to edit the show which could take weeks/months before there is an acceptable episode.
