I ain't no TV expert but a lil google search came up with these hits that may provide some useful info regarding your solution. I recommend you seek qualified help with this cus I eh buying you back your tv if you eff it up.

SONY Website: https://us.en.kb.sony.com/app/answers/d ... 766,63030/

If a Red LED is blinking and the TV is not working properly it means that the TV has detected an issue or problem. Most Red LED blink conditions require service. The meaning of the blink codes differs between TV models

Forum Post highlighting meaning of 10 blinks: http://tampatec.blogspot.com/2015/03/so ... s-for.html

10 blinks- digital board or tuner board

Possible solution 1 - Power Reset: https://www.community.sony.com/t5/Telev ... 1287#M3831

Perform a power reset in the TV and check if that helps. Below mentioned are the power resetting instructions:

Turn off the television.

IMPORTANT: For a projection television that uses an internal lamp, wait 5 minutes after turning off thetelevision to allow the lamp to cool before continuing with the following steps.
Unplug the television power cord from the electrical outlet.
Let the television remain without power for 60 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet.

NOTE: If the television is plugged into a power strip or surge protector, remove it from the power strip or surge protector and plug it directly into the wall outlet. If the issue is resolved, the problem is with the power strip or surge protector and not the television.
Turn on the television.

Also, perform a factory reset and check if the issue is resolved:

If the issue persists, I suggest that you get the TV serviced.

Possible solution 2 - Factory Reset: https://us.en.kb.sony.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/42994

IMPORTANT:

The supplied remote control is necessary to perform this procedure. Then be sure to point the remote control towards the front and center of the TV.
Troubleshooting steps are available if one of the LED lights in front of the TV is blinking or flashing.

Unplug the TV power cord from the electrical outlet.
Allow the TV to remain without power for one minute.
Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet.

NOTE: The TV should turn on automatically. If it does not, turn it on.
Wait approximately 40 seconds for the TV to completely start up.
On the TV remote control, press and hold the UP ARROW button. Make sure the remote control is pointed towards the front and center of the TV.

UP arrow of the remote
While holding the UP ARROW button, press and release the POWER button on the TV set.

NOTES:
Depending on the TV, Reset will appear momentarily on the lower left hand corner of the TV.
The TV may turn off and then back on.
If the TV remains off after following the steps above, troubleshooting steps are available if the supplied remote control will not operate the TV.
The button may be on the front, top or side of the TV. If your TV has an Energy Saving switch, be sure to press the POWER button rather than the Energy Saving switch.

Do the power reset. Had issues like this and also volume stuck on max and the power reset helped. Also disable update software auto. That seems to fug up the tv from time to time when it updates.

Yeah, i've googled the issue and that's the same info i got.

Whenever i plug on the tv, i hear a click noise as if the TV is turning on, then another click as if it's turning off. This happens about 3 times until the red light blinks 10 in succession.

I've tried doing the power reset even up till last night, even trying to enter the service mode (Display-->5-->Vol Up--> Power) but that does not help.

The 10 blinks as suggested by one site is the digital board or tuner board, but i got the service manual which states 'DTT WDT - Watch Dog Timer used to track micro processors, not to record errors'. Now this manual covers other models as well so i'm not sure how specific that info is to my model.
