WTK : Wireman License

Postby medalist » September 1st, 2016, 3:24 pm

Would like to find out if there are any licenced wiremen in here.

Is it possible to get the wireman license without doing the Electrical Installation course?

Meaning if the person has a Diploma in Electrical and can just sit the exam?

Is the exam intense?

I am aware that I need Bureau Standards Book. Anything else?

Have no whatsapp at the moment. I checked the ttconnect already but I really want to know if the exam can be done with just the bureau book or do I need more material? Tried calling the office but no answer.

Leme ask you a question.

Lights and appliances in a house don't work as they should.

Between lines you get 239v

Line to neutral you get 119v on each side.

When you turn on a light, the voltage drops to about 30v on that line and rises to about 200v on the next line.

What's do you suspect is the problem?

Well that's what the person did for the last three days
Everything in the fridge on the verge of spoiling too.

Community service ftw. I get lunch today

Call TTEC immediately, the neutral wire on the service entrance sometimes corrode causing this. I had a client thought there was a ghost in her home as light would get really bright in the night and burst. Washing machine and fridge damaged.

Question was for OP as he wants his licence.

I already sorted it out. Neutral wire was broken.
