Agostini's qualifies (Hand Arnold, Hanshell Innis, Smith Robinson , Superpharm etc).

But afaik Guardian is really limited to only one field -Insurance.

I think you all pretty much covered it with the exception of Prestige Holdings, Brydens Group and The Maritime Financial Group. Not sure if Hadeed owned businesses fall under a Group but they have under their umbrella malls, car dealerships, clothes stores, sports stores and bottled water etc

Prestige isn't a conglomerate by definition...apart from the restaurant businesses what other business activity are they involved in?

"Conglomerate - a corporation consisting of a number of subsidiary companies or divisions in a variety of unrelated industries"

Well I discovered something interesting. Both Prestige and Agostini's are owned by Victor E Mouttet Limited ( VEML). VEML also owns VEMCO (Swiss brand, Gatorade). So, That's a next conglomerate.

Also Hadco is not part of Ansa Mcal.

But Bryden's is part of Ansa Mcal.

This is news to me as well......I know that Bryden's was up for sale last year and Massy placed a bid which was deemed too low. When did they become part of Ansa??

According to it
Ansa - Group Revenues $6.1b, Total Assets - $13b, PBT - $1.065B
Massy - Group Revenues $12b, Total Assets - $10.4b, PBT - $919M

Hang on I misread Ansa's website. Apparently it is Bryden's Bajan sister company that is part of Ansa as the company Bryden Stokes. A.S Bryden (T&T) is still a separate entity.

Bryden's Insurance, Brydens Express and Brydens Stationary are part of Ansa.

What companies are part of the Bryden Group ? I see FT Farfan is part of that group.

Now this is interesting, Ansa's revenue is half of Massy, but they make more profit?

I suppose it has to do with the line of businesses that Massy is involved in as opposed to Ansa, like Hi-Lo etc.

1 billion profit on 6 billion revenue is still exceptional though, maybe Ansa's car prices can account for this.
