So has the Chaguramas WATER park been put on HOLD or are we going to waste a further how many MILLIONS of dollars on sh1t we DO NOT NEED?

I don't think the Government was ever paying for this, the land was leased to a private entity to build the water park. The details of the lease is what may need to be questioned.

Along with the fact that there was a butting of heads over where some state enterprises (like Caribbean Fisheries) would have moved to. Yes the plan extended all the way down to that area. Alot of heads got chopped off at the State level over the very thought of moving such agencies.

But the war is still being fought Blue_CP9A....

Yes Banzai, I know that MAny Businesses that Had long term leases with government were essentially KICKED out - in favor of this Chaguramas Development ,as usual previosu govt corrupt sh1t.

Yup. Personally I don't think the idea to make chaguaramas a tourist hot spot is a bad idea in itself. But the devil is always in the details.

Yup. Personally I don't think the idea to make chaguaramas a tourist hot spot is a bad idea in itself. But the devil is always in the details.

It's an excellent idea. Just hope they preserve the natural beauty too.

And hope they build the causeway or do something about the traffic situation as well.

Those ships are indeed an eyesore but didn't Chin Lee in yesterdays Express say he has approval for that activity??
I am concerned about those nine or so rigs off our coast (can be seen from PoS) owned by Transocean (same company that owned the Deepwater Horizon).

I know its cold-stacking but what are the benefits to Trinidad and at what costs?

I was told that the rigs are cold stacked for a rental fee.

The guy said they rent the sea floor area used.

Seagoing activities are Maritime division under Transport (Works and Transport)
Seabed leases are negotiated by Commissioner of State Lands (Min of Agriculture)

Trinidad needs to implement laws regarding how far off Vessels can be anchored for long periods, in some countrys they cant come within 1-2 miles of the main coastline, but as its Trinidad its a free for all.
