unsatisfied has to do with when a greater amount/quantity of something is needed, like food or when a requirement is not met....a feeling of incompleteness is felt.

dissatisfied has to do with the quality of something as in excellent or poor, and is usually used in the case of people....a feeling of wrongness is experienced.

"dissatisfied" is the more appropriate word to have been used.... 8-)

Unsatisfied is for abstract things like needs ,hunger etc. Dissatisfied is used for persons.
