Schiphol airport is knows for crazy crosswinds. This type of landing is normal there BUT as a private pilot, it looked like he didn't handle the transition very well. Glad he recovered and landed safely.

Nothing new there...I've landed in worst cross winds in Vancouver.

The Pilot will employ either the Crab / Sideslip landing or combination of both . Most experienced Pilots should have this technique @ the back of their hands.
