Online Banking

Postby TrinbagoMan » April 7th, 2010, 5:37 pm

Using republic bank online banking, can you transfer money from a republic account to a republic credit card?

Secondly, can you transfer money from a republic bank account to another bank account (First Citizens for example)?

^^ yes you can pay your republic credit card using your republic account, be it a chequeing or a savings but both the credit card and the account you're making the payment from must be registered on the republic online.

also, you can currently transfer funds to a another third party ONLY if the third party's account is republic as well.

I believe only FCB allows you to transfer to other banks, although it's considered a payment.

blacktriple_s,

In addition to that ... you will need the Matrix card to enable it.

three years later...

is transferring funds online from one bank to another still a 'fcb to other banks' thing or has this improved over the years?

you can transfer from Scotiabank Online banking to any other bank and even foreign banks if you have a business account.
You can use your Scotibank personal online banking service to transfer funds to and from any of your personal accounts, savings to chequing, jointa account and vice versa or to credit card, even to pay bills by entering the vendor (TSTT, Columbus, WASA, T&TEC etc) and your account number on your bill. Scotia also has an app for iPhone and Blackberry that works very well as it lets you do all of the above from your phone with a fairly decent interface.

thanks duane.

when you say to and from any of your personal accounts, are you talking about accounts with scotia alone or with other banks?

the personal account only allows within Scotia. A business account allows to any bank.

Postby fallen18 » July 20th, 2015, 2:35 pm

Anyone with this service able to access it currently, Its been down for me since last week Thursday I believe. Just want to ensure its not just me, as theres no information about this on the website which is ridiculous if the service really is unavailable.

Yes I am actually. I'm guessing that's the cause.

Nope, in addition to work where it's always worked, tried it at home with all supported browsers, all relevantly updated.

To update you guys, emailed them and was told that the secure card is locked out, no idea how that happened. Should be resolved soon.

If this is the case, really weird that the error message presented in situations like these is that the service is currently unavailable, sorry for the inconvenience. Had me checking since last week to see if its back up. Would have contacted them long ago if I only knew this .
