Planets / stars closer than normal ???

Postby Premchand1976 » July 1st, 2015, 8:31 pm

Saw this yesterday and thought it was 2 planes. Came out tonight for my son to see the moon and saw it again. Heard it's Neptune moving a Lil closer to another planet ????

For persons in North, look west and see for yourselves.

Can anyone share more " credible " info ?

its Jupiter and Venus. Venus being the bigger one.

Interesting to note that july 2015 has a blue moon.

Blue moon occurs when there are two full moons in one month

Jupiter and Venus converge in the night sky in June 2015

they are not actually getting closer to each other, but just the angle at which we view them from Earth

do stars (other than the sun) move in relation the the Earth? or is it just a case of them being more/less clear on a weekly basis?

We ( Earth) rotate on our axis and while doing so, goes around the Sun due to being caught in the Sun's gravity.

This multiple movements makes our night sky unique because stars appear to be moving or growing apart.

Earth is spinning on its axiz, while it revolves around the sun.
The sun is located on the orion's arm of the milky way galaxy which is also spinning like a hurricane.

The milky way galaxy is part of a bigger galaxy cluster which is also moving.

All this movement , while the universe itself is rapidly expanding, or contracting- both theories seems plausible.

Our galaxy is the Milky Way galaxy and we are situated in the Orion's arm of the Milky way.
