Air Conditioning

Postby Invisible » May 23rd, 2015, 4:00 pm

Anyone know the average price on a 5 Ton unit installed.

And could I use 2- 36000 units instead.

What I really wanted to know is if 2 36000BTU units would work in place of the 5 Ton unit.

I don't see why not but it depends on your application. You didn't state what it would be used for

It's for a large residential space. Living room, kitchen, stairway and a corridor.

I was told that a 5 Ton would cover my needs but a 5 Ton is noisy and unsightly.

Approximately 10000 cubic feet to cool.

Better consult a ac guy,the 2 36000 might just do the job,but the cost will be more than the 5ton though.

1 36kBTU ac unit is a 3ton unit so 2 is equilavent to 6 tons .. it will more than do the job in a general sense
