Does Anyone Here use Adobe After Effects?

Postby Michael Knight... » April 8th, 2015, 8:17 pm

Reason I'm asking is that I'm having some trouble with special effects bundles. Most of the forums I have consulted are giving me solutions but this problem seems to still be ongoing.

Upon loading the special effects such as explosions and lens flares, I am getting the error
"the .mov file could not be loaded because the file is damaged"

This happens for every effect I try loading in Adobe After Effects. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, how did you resolve it? Yes, Google is my friend, but most of the fixes I have consulted have not worked. This is a legit copy of After Effects, no downloaded business.

Never had that issue before. Are you on mac or pc and do the mov files play outside of AE? Also, if you export / render a .mov from AE, can you import that without any issue?

If you have Quicktime Pro and the movie is able to play in that without an error, load it into Quicktime and then export it as a Quicktime movie.
