Flow

Postby cracker » March 10th, 2015, 5:28 am

Has anyone been experiencing problems with flow internet? Talked to one of the techs he said that to exchange the wireless modem which i have (because he said those are defective) and get a normal one. Then buy a wireless router if i want to use wifi.

My flow has been consistently medium for the past 2 days.
I expect it to be heavy for the next couple...

Hope this helped...

Yep I had that problem awhile back, their wireless modems is real sheit and gave alot of connectivity problems.

I having a problem getting my full 20Mbps recently, alot of variations in the speed I get. Have to be resetting the modem right thru and that only works half the time. Tried flow 'tech support' but they not very helpful imo. Eagerly waiting for Digicel fiber to reach in my area & gonna give flow and they bullsheit a rest.

My friend has one of those modem/router from Flow as well and he constantly gets low speed and frequent connection drops. 10mbps package.

I have the same package but with the first Arris flow modem they had and i have no issues with speed or dropped connections. Using my own router separately though.

its not the modem I got the modem that comes with the MoCA hybrid box and its just as bad in bamboo they said this new modem would be superior and have no problems. Well its just as much crap after 7 pm it always disconnecting and sometimes taking hours to come back it the worst.
Ps I am using a cable not wireless like to many people have flow in some areas so it slow as sheit when every body home and using it.

Does anyone think that switching back to a normal (non-wireless) router would help?

I had flow cable since 2008, never had an issue with them till recently when the box started
re-ranging and stuff, things was bad and support was sticking,so I decided to fix it myself . I traced the problem to the white cable that comes into the house, apparently this cable breaks down after time especially if it gets direct sunlight ,so I pulled the black cable that comes from the pole and connected it directly to the modem inside ...no problem since, its still connected that way and I aint touching it
