It stated, “The party intends to purchase at their expense flashing orange emergency roadside lights and barrels to mount them on. These barrels will be coated in reflective day glow material with the words ‘CAUTION’, ‘ROAD ENDS’ and ‘SLOW DOWN’, which will be positioned at alternating intervals on either side of the southbound lanes for the last five hundred meters and on the roundabout itself.”
The PEP stated, “The party insists that the signage that currently exists is practically useless when visible and even less so when covered by the roadside shrubbery, and this lack of urgent caution has led to too many preventable deaths by unsuspecting highway users.”

I'm not saying that the infrastructure there doesn't need fixing and finishing, but we're seeing less than 5 deadly accidents in the last 3 years in that area. Where speed, no incredibly excessive speed resulted in the vehicle crumpling like a soda can under a truck tire. Ok so what about the thousands, and hundreds of thousands who have passed and manoeuvered there safely over the last 5 years with no incident?
Yes again the exit can be improved. But lights and signs (it already has these) are not going to change a damn thing, just like the reckless speeding drivers at the Macoya crossroad. Drivers need to actually adhere to the speed limit and be aware of what they're doing when operating a vehicle. They can't have lead foot and daydreaming, this isn't a cruising freeway in USA. And at 100km/hr the stopping distance hard on brakes is 73 meters (240 feet). That's less than 100 meters to a full stop from 100 km/hr. From that picture that car was doing well near 180km/hr or so. Not just the engine bay was crumpled, the entire car disintegrated down to the trunk in the back. You want to speed like that, well make sure you have supercar ceramic oversized brakes too.
Drivers. Families of fatalities. Stop looking for scapegoats in incidents like this. Sorry to say, you know who is really to blame. Nothing to say about the disgusting politician vultures who making their name where apt.
