Best driving roads in T&T

Postby The Paleontologist » December 7th, 2014, 2:31 pm

OK guys, tell me what are some of the best or your favourite roads to drive on, where you can have some fun.
One road I like is the stretch of the S.S Erin Road between palmiste and the roundabout in Debe. Some real nice corners and dips etc

Going through Tabaquite to Montrose. I haven't been through in a while but when it was paved it was an awesome bit of road.

The coconuts at 2am with my Evo was also a nice pull. No cars, and if their were any you could see them from mile away and slow down enough to avoid any issues.

Point > Granvile > Cedro's > Icacos = Nice tour / run

Field road between Point round about and Palo Seco / le Flora = Slippery when wet but great corners hills and decent road.

Penal > Moruga = decently paved nice run

Used to like Lady Young for a brisk drive. It too often now you getting trapped behind somebody traveling at idle speed though.

In no specific order for spirited driving if, you know what you are doing because there are young and impressionable drivers I will not state the speeds on these routes.

1. The old Crystal Stream Highway . Less traffic , 4 wheel drift in a fwd , blind corners and sharp fast bends.

2. Maraval to Maracas , use your bakes wisely or they will be smoking before the car park or you may go off a cliff .

3. Las Cuevas to Maracas , serious speed can be had there but with equally disastrous consequences.

4. The Manzan Stretch , lined with coconut trees , trucks , water on the surface and sometime cattle this is a daredevil drive . One false move and its over . My oil friends taught me that road .

Multiple passes behind

x2 at maracas drive during the week. That drive is practically meditative because of how nice it is.
