shop around - you get better deals on some stuff in some places than others....

know whether your toilets are S-trap or P-trap, space you have to play with etc...

check to see which brands are serviceable and parts are easy to obtain - e.g. internals on toilet tank / fittings for faucets...

call around to see who has grout the cheapest - and get a real good buddy with a van to make the runs - can save on transport...measure all your rooms and tile-able surfaces - work out how many tiles you need yourself based on the tile / finishers / %spoil

inquire return policy on all un-used items - some ppl say once it out of stock - they not accepting returns or 10% restocking fee etc.

most places gonna be swamped for the christmas season - so make some runs and make notes etc...

Make sure you buy the big armitage shanks toilets. Arrow is a good brand also. Most other brands do not flush properly, especially cheap brands like sandosa standard. Some of the double flush button things give trouble also.

Avoid push button, especially those cheap Chinese brands (Arrow/Cobra)

Check the tile place in Chase Village, Tile Warehouse. Reason is they have showrooms of their matching tiles for bathrooms upstairs.

Bad idea, because years down the line, when it starts to leak, your wife will ask "yuh enfix it yet?".

if you going to use either S or P trap toilets,

it is a significant decision as the sewer pipes would need to be run in the floor for S trap.

Many use P trap but it looks kinda shtty with the pipe coming out horizontal out the wall.
