I agree ,Ah live online chat will really come in handy for eg. Obliterating man like natio & his continuous direction threads..
or if you wana ask a quick question for a quick response rather than creating a new thread..
& members can update with daily news,traffic,accident,pictures.. etc.

the forums are part of internet history and Google's cache. Everything put here is useful for people who Google a problem or question. If you had a chat with no documentation then historians in 500 years will not be able to understand natio's descendants.

if someone asks a question in the forum, chances are the person with the best answer isn't online at the same time, but can respond later. Also people with similar questions weeks, months or even years later can still read the replies and learn from it instead of asking again. Those are key advantages of a forum vs a chat or wall feed.
