Success of the Average Guy in Trinidad

Postby nos_specialist » September 12th, 2014, 8:53 pm

yea tuners, Sooo this is a question for the Average person...not the Multimillionaire business owners, orr the ones who inherit everything from Mommy and Daddy. This question goes out the ones who...gone to school, finish, got a job in trinidad, and worked..and worked..and worked...to achieve what they have..

At the Age of 30, what would you say is the AVERAGE point a Guy would reach in Trinidad, financially.
Try to put the results in a format like this

Average Salary amount:
Average Savings:
Value of Vehicle (if any):
Value of House (if any or Renting or living home):
Married, Single:

Thank you for your input :)

Average Salary amount:5500+ depending on job, most range from this upwards.
Average Savings: 25,000
Value of Vehicle (if any):35-55k

thats basically what i see taking place on a daily basis.
most of them spend most of their money on their vehicle, seen 15k music installs in some daily vehicles. and some souped up vehicles.

most riding in a ck/cs/b15/tiida/y11. Lil pong, lil speed and a decent savings. seen people achieve more working at a similar 5500$ a month salary. two vehicles paid off 60k apiece . Not married ect.

boils down to what you want and how you going to achieve it

Why do u see success as only measured by financial and material things OP?
Those things will come eventually once u adopt a disciplined approach to saving, and once u are prepared to work hard and continually invest in urself thru training and education.
Being successful is also about cultivating healthy relationships with ur spouse, kids, family members, and also about u maintaining a healthy body and a healthy spiritual life.

When ur young money seems like the only thing we need, but if u neglect the other things in life, when the money starts rolling in when u get older, u'll regret those things u neglected.

Things hard for the middle class worker.

Two things we want most 1-our own property.
2-a good vehicle.

I've come to the conclusion that 1 average job is not enough to live comfortably.

You must have your permanent job and a side business and a working wife.

Success- min 9k salary. House on mortgage or a little concrete structure and all bills paid on time.
Car- average FU value 50-60k

Anything less should be measured as a failure.

At 30 you should be paying for a house or at least acquiring a piece of land to build a house. Car? Forget that, once you have a decent reliable car to get you around, then you're good to go.

Success= health most important, happy family and awakening to the fact that life is very short so if you live your life based on the statistics stated, one will never achieve success.

If you don't plan on having kids do you think it is necessary to buy a house?

I rather let my dead money be in the form of rent and go to someone that be in the form of interest and go to the bank. Also you have to maintain your house and if you want to move it will be really difficult.

Also, I rather not buy a house because I seeing people using horizontally cored red bricks for structural walls and putting lintel beams over openings with no reinforcement on the side of the openings and all kinda crap. I also see a man fill in his land without clearing the bush first. Real madness.

Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Proverbs 3:1-4 ESV / 154 helpful votes

My son, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments, for length of days and years of life and peace they will add to you. Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart. So you will find favor and good success in the sight of God and man.

Proverbs 16:3 ESV / 150 helpful votes

Matthew 6:25-33 ESV / 141 helpful votes

“Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

1 Kings 2:3 ESV / 74 helpful votes

And keep the charge of the Lord your God, walking in his ways and keeping his statutes, his commandments, his rules, and his testimonies, as it is written in the Law of Moses, that you may prosper in all that you do and wherever you turn,

Joshua 1:5-9 ESV / 64 helpful votes

No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life. Just as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you or forsake you. Be strong and courageous, for you shall cause this people to inherit the land that I swore to their fathers to give them. Only be strong and very courageous, being careful to do according to all the law that Moses my servant commanded you. Do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may have good success wherever you go. This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

Luke 16:10-11 ESV / 61 helpful votes

For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul?

Psalm 1:1-6 ESV / 56 helpful votes

Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers. The wicked are not so, but are like chaff that the wind drives away. Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous;

His master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord caused all that he did to succeed in his hands. So Joseph found favor in his sight and attended him, and he made him overseer of his house and put him in charge of all that he had. From the time that he made him overseer in his house and over all that he had the Lord blessed the Egyptian's house for Joseph's sake; the blessing of the Lord was on all that he had, in house and field. So he left all that he had in Joseph's charge, and because of him he had no concern about anything but the food he ate. Now Joseph was handsome in form and appearance.

Ephesians 4:32 ESV / 32 helpful votes

Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

John 16:33 ESV / 27 helpful votes

1 Timothy 4:12 ESV / 24 helpful votes

Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.

1 Timothy 6:1-21 ESV / 22 helpful votes

Let all who are under a yoke as slaves regard their own masters as worthy of all honor, so that the name of God and the teaching may not be reviled. Those who have believing masters must not be disrespectful on the ground that they are brothers; rather they must serve all the better since those who benefit by their good service are believers and beloved. Teach and urge these things. If anyone teaches a different doctrine and does not agree with the sound words of our Lord Jesus Christ and the teaching that accords with godliness, he is puffed up with conceit and understands nothing. He has an unhealthy craving for controversy and for quarrels about words, which produce envy, dissension, slander, evil suspicions, and constant friction among people who are depraved in mind and deprived of the truth, imagining that godliness is a means of gain.

For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.

Ecclesiastes 5:3 ESV / 18 helpful votes

For a dream comes with much business, and a fool's voice with many words.

Proverbs 20:7-10 ESV / 17 helpful votes

The righteous who walks in his integrity— blessed are his children after him! A king who sits on the throne of judgment winnows all evil with his eyes. Who can say, “I have made my heart pure; I am clean from my sin”? Unequal weights and unequal measures are both alike an abomination to the Lord.

Proverbs 3:3 ESV / 15 helpful votes

Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart.

Genesis 1:28 ESV / 14 helpful votes

And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

For at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light

John 3:16 ESV / 12 helpful votes

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

Ecclesiastes 5:1-3 ESV / 12 helpful votes

Guard your steps when you go to the house of God. To draw near to listen is better than to offer the sacrifice of fools, for they do not know that they are doing evil. Be not rash with your mouth, nor let your heart be hasty to utter a word before God, for God is in heaven and you are on earth. Therefore let your words be few. For a dream comes with much business, and a fool's voice with many words.

Proverbs 1:1-33 ESV / 12 helpful votes

The proverbs of Solomon, son of David, king of Israel: To know wisdom and instruction, to understand words of insight, to receive instruction in wise dealing, in righteousness, justice, and equity; to give prudence to the simple, knowledge and discretion to the youth— Let the wise hear and increase in learning, and the one who understands obtain guidance,

Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need. I will rebuke the devourer for you, so that it will not destroy the fruits of your soil, and your vine in the field shall not fail to bear, says the Lord of hosts.

Luke 10:20-21 ESV / 5 helpful votes

Nevertheless, do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.” In that same hour he rejoiced in the Holy Spirit and said, “I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to little children; yes, Father, for such was your gracious will.

James 1:17 ESV / 4 helpful votes
