Traffic Light by UWI eastbound missing

Anyone knows why the light on the eastbound by UWI is missing? As in the whole structure is gone.

Passing westbound a little after 6, the lights were blinking red, police on either side.

Accident. Don't rubberneck so all i made out was a pickup on the shoulder and a company pickup on the extreme right.

As at 8.15am the there are cones blocking off the intersection so all North and South across the intersection is blocked as well as anyone wishing to make the right turns east and west bound.

At least officers are on the scene.
Westbound cannot turn onto UWI drive and vice versa.

UWI drive to straight across is a no-no as well and vice versa.

Chaos nonetheless

The company that repairs the lights just pulled up after 9. The traffic light on the ground in pieces (pole look like it in 3 pieces) on the west bound lane.
All traffic wanting to go uwi have to go through curepe (epic traffic) or turn off at pasea junction.
