Why would and indian couple adopt a white baby?

Don't mean to come across racist, but I'm actually accusing the couple in question for being self racist. They're not friends, but close acquaintances.

They have been trying to get pregnant for almost 5 years. Now, just so on facebook I seeing them with their new blue eyed blond hair baby. They're even saying on facebook how it's the baby of a trini white teenager who gave it up for adoption. Oh they're also saying the girl is a drug addict and alcoholic which is why she isn't fit to be a mother. Strong genetic background.

What upsets me is that they're tonnes of black babies (less so indian babies) in Orphanages throughout trinidad. Why not try to adopt one of those? Why go and choose the only white baby they could find? That's very discriminatory.

This couple is the typical, super rich (A5, Prado, mansion) 'brahmin' hindu couple. Are they so obsessed with fairness that they seeked out the white child they could find?

It is my business because I see first hand how darker children are discriminated against when it comes to adoption in Trinidad.

I volunteer are several orphanages and try as much to assist these children. It's a pleasure working with some of them and seeing their faces light up when you come in. I've molded girls to get themselves into careers. A lot of them want to make something of themselves.

Anyway, in Trinidad....an indian child gets adopted very very quickly. Which is why when you go into these homes, you rarely see any.

Black babies, unfortunately are treated like the pot hounds in TTSPCA. The pure breds get home quickly while the strays often have to be put down after never getting adopted.

It's a sad reflection of our society when I bring up issues like these and then realize the majority will make fun and not care. Thought 2nr was more intelligent than this.
