It's growing ... Currently at around 500 members in less than 1 day
Duane 3NE 2NR wrote:^ cool! but how do you search for a part that was listed a few weeks ago?
except that facebook doesn't load the entire page unless you scroll and scroll and scroll down - so a CTRL+F search will only give results for the text that is loaded so far, not all the text in the page.iDynamic wrote:Duane 3NE 2NR wrote:^ cool! but how do you search for a part that was listed a few weeks ago?
well you could manually search the keywords by pressing ctrl + F or command +F ( per page)
might be tedious as it might be hard to make out an item in a thumbnail or when there are thousands of photos added it might be a real task to go through that many without being able to search.iDynamic wrote:The simplest way would be to press photos to the top of the group and scroll through the tiles till you see what you are looking for once they posted a picture of it

Still though, interesting initiative - I'm subscribed!

IIRC that search is to search for users in the group, not for posts that they've made.Conrad wrote:May be different on a mobile device but on a regular web browser, right under the group photo/banner, to the extreme right there's a magnifying glass to search. It would search the entire history.

search.php
I think the major problem in finding stuff on trinituner or even on the D Facebook Bamboo is the fact that users may not use proper formatting.
For the trinituner forums we are currently working on a template for posting items for sale e.g.
In the car classifieds:
Prefix with FS / WTB / FT
Make:
Model:
Year:
Number Plate Series:
Mileage:
Colour:
Price:
etc etc etc
this should make the search work ALOT better.
Not sure how we plan to tackle bad spelling though. Someone posts "winsheen wipah" for sale and the buyer is correctly searching for "windshield" or "windscreen" "wiper"
