nah
remember the pkg have miami address
does websource put a label with local address on it?

either way they will want to dump the amazon boxes asap
bandits normally dispose of any identifiable items as soon as possible
eg they never keep a wallet or cards etc

as far as i know, that insurance is for shipping

like between collecting your package and it reaching customs here, the insurance covers that

anything after that is something else entirely

because if a shipment is lost/goes missing IN customs, the "freight" insurance doesnt cover it

the thing is it's in their custody so its their responsibility- they should compensate customers for this- if not well my money goes to one of the other many skybox companies this xmas

I find it strange that they saying only the lone security was on the compound because they usually have workers there those hours packing and unpacking.

All year, and remember people start ordering stuff early for Christmas to avoid shipping delays etc

Perfect robbery I guess.

But like Phone Surgeon say. Multi million dollar warehouse with millions of goods, you have one security with a torchlight? Sure he mustbe was sleeping too

Criminals getting smarter while businessmen getting cheaper only ppl that loss out are the customers even if they are reimbursed is the time and the inconvenience for the ones that made big purchases. Websource lost nothing from this.

in this day and age, any business place with paid night security should have cameras watching the security
same thing with the many gated communities with sleeping guards who leave barrier up at night

As a consolation most of those vans doesn't have many places to hide them so a handful of places it can be mounted.

If I owned a courier company then all vehicles would be so equipped that once tampered with outside of regular working hours, I or my fleet supervisor would be alerted as soon as door open.....maybe Im overthinking it

these are things that can be procedurally enforced with a regular home burglar alarm which the security guard does not have access to disarm.

companies with vehicles sleeping on compound need to be isolated physically
I can foresee many compounds/homeowners installing oneway spikes very soon

The 2 vehicles were obviously part of the plan and not a "by the way look a van" impromptu. They brought equipment to remove the GPS and start it, probably had a pro car thief on the crew. The way I seeing it is that it was planned with inside info before hand. Any one of the warehouse workers in there could have been the link.

Guardian Media understands that following a call by acting Senior Supt Roger Alexander on Monday for the stolen goods to be returned, several of the packages were anonymously dropped off at a media house in Port-of-Spain on Monday night.
Sources close to the investigation also claimed some police officers had been personally contacted and asked to collect some of the stolen merchandise from several homes in the Beetham Gardens area.

Not sure if Jetpak trying to make back the money on the discounts they gave to customers or if it is customs. But I bought a mic stand I got on sale for $12usd and jetpak calculator estimated charges to be about $110TTD. It cleared last night and charges came up to$279 before the $100 discount given. Jetpak charges was $78, rest was duty, VAT and OPT

They didn't return anything of value.

“The bandits or whoever was in receipt of the packages, they were clever enough to send garbage. What they surrendered is not what was entirely stolen. When we checked we realised that those things were probably things stolen in another job, and now was a good time to get rid of it.”

Maharaj said the stolen goods included 12 televisions, iPads, car parts and clothes.

What was returned included Christmas decorations belonging to him, a playpen set and a printer, stationery and copybooks.
