THAT'S THE LAW. YOU COULD SELL BUT YOU CAN'T TRANSFER, SO YOU MAY COME OUT CHEAPER BRINGING IT ON YOUR OWN BUT THAT'S THE CONSEQUENCE

Keep in mind if you sell without transfer, insurance could be a issue for the new owner as all insurance companies are requesting to see the transfer chit befor they insure it.

you could only transfer after 3yrs,in other words you only allow one ro/ro vehicle every 3yrs.so best go with a dealer so you could transfer right away .not bashing anyone here but i am just educating those who ordering vehicles on your name that is the out come,if you want to support them all well and good you know your budget ordering it on your name might save you a lot.

The 3 year restriction is basically there to prevent persons/individuals from importing and reselling vehicles as if they were a registered dealer.

You can re-sell any vehicle before the three years limit, but you will have to seek the Ministry's permission and the reason must be very valid for them to consider allowing you to transact the sale and transfer.

But the thing is that while you may save importing on your own, you will lose any recourse you may have had, if you went through a dealer (slim to none though). Hope this helps.

I am also really interested in the details of this process.

I checked and searched trinituner for info, but all the past info posted was deleted or "no longer here"..

Can you guide us accordingly?

Thanks!

That will just drop the resale value immediately but then again it depends on who buying the vehicle
Normally people buy vehicles that are as close to stock as possible (no upgrades)
