Road Traffic Fatality Statistics 2012 vs 2013

According to these charts released by the TTPS, there was a 26% increase in road traffic fatalities and a 50% increase during the Carnival period in 2013 compared to 2012.

carnival this year was really ridiculous...tonnes of accidents, albeit small ones, and stabbings/buss head

ummm carnival stat's say 50 % increase... am I the only one who passed math?? 2012 - 8 2013 - 12

33.33333333333333333 % increase.

Duane, what are the figures for just accidents ( non fatal ), this should be very high in light of the increase in fatalities compared to last year.

Agreed, every day you hear/see a different incident, sometimes more than one on the same stretch.

^ This was compiled by the TTPS and alot of those smaller accidents go unreported to the Police.

You'd have to get data from both the Police and the Insurance companies.
