House is 25 years old and was advised that rewiring is done in shorter periods of time.

Rewiring is usually done if there is severe corrosion, non spec wiring for modern standards, or additional loading on the system that can't be handled by the current wiring.

Fixtures may possibly be changed to update or replace worn ones but it's unusual to replace wiring.

Do you fall into any of these categories?

make sure your electrician is a licensed wireman cause if inspection needs to be done and he is not licensed then u gonna end up with some minor problems.....

also had a guy started off by me and he was claiming he was licensed.....further investigations revealed that he was not and the license he was flashing was not really his but his relatives......

and yes...he was immmediately fired......

Who ever you hire make sure and have him sign a contract, most electricians are con men. They start a job take ur money and leave you half way on the job asking you for more money.
