Attorney General Faris Al Rawi said he has drafted a bill to control fireworks which cabinet approved for public consultation

Would be interesting to see what the bill entails.

True.

But nevertheless, what ever is implemented, a minister son could run up how much fireworks they want any where they please and nothing will be done.

Its all about connections and links.

That tweet looking bad on Faris part, it looks like if it only affected him then he will put regulations in place to solve it. All he should've done in that tweet was put something like "Working on it". He just opening up himself for more backlash here.

And also we have the businessmen who drop food for their respective police stations.

You really feel these same officers are going to respond to complaints with their greasy crumb mouths, making loud chew noises and sucking their teeth?

Sorry for those who suffer with misophonia.

First fireworks were banned except for authorized operators, then all of a sudden there were major fireworks dealers under government friend and family contracts, both PNM and UNC, now it bad again and they want to regulate ? Same with casinos.
This place is a revolving door of sheit yes.
Playing a musical instrument in a moving vehicle is still a crime, and all this kinda nonsense gets a free pass?

Laws like this and stupid things like jaywalking and loitering weren't put in place to protect the public. They're a remnant from the white man so that ni**ers would be easier to prosecute and throw in jail/legal slave labor if the white establishment ever decided that civil unrest was at hand from the natives. They certainly could not allow the public to play any musical instruments on a motorized vehicle to a military or secret coded beat to inspire another Canboulay riots-type incident again. And I am using that censored word above in the nastiest, most racist meaning because I want people who read it to know that that's exactly what the British white man thought about all of us, and that our own constitution was knowingly written (copied from existing British laws) by the same black people who wanted independence and still used by the same governments who always promised constitutional reform but it never materialized to this day.

Politics aside, I support this law.Traumatizing helpless animals, potentially killing them because some people are amused by loud noises.

Did anyone else find the traditional new years fireworks release wasn't as long as previous years?
Also seemed as if there were more low tier explosives being used. Not much instances of the neighborhood sh1tty children letting off fireworks in January's first week.

It felt as if hard times hit fireworks for 2021.

X5000

Will they stop with fireworks? What about alcohol, tobacco and prostitution? Loud and obnoxious music? I think they won't be allowed to ban outright but possibly a time period such as 8-10 on Divali night and 1130-1230 on old years.

It’s time to think about dog ownership in general. Everybody want to save a stray on FB and don’t want the pounds to put them down like long time.
Too much irresponsible pet ownership.
