Give them nice vehicles and they destroy them within a few years while police in the states keep crown vics running for decades.

Police in the states are issued a vehicle per person, and that person is responsible for his/her vehicle, those vehicle are also purpose built and religiously maintained, being of teh same make/model also helps. Police in T&T are given a mix and match of consumer grade vehicle, oil is never changed on time and VMCOTT has a waste of time mechs. And a vehicle in T&T hits 100,000km within a year in some cases, with just one vehicle per station district not person, they never get a rest.

It's a forkin miracle that they do last that long, and yet some of you act like police vehicles in teh good ole USofA are never in accidents.

Police officers hospitalised after crash
Story Created: Nov 25, 2012 at 11:59 PM ECT
Story Updated: Nov 26, 2012 at 12:16 AM ECT
TWO police officers and a woman were among four people injured in a car accident along Union Road, Marabella yesterday.
Eyewitnesses said that around 3.45 p.m., a police van was exiting Industry Lane, Marabella when it collided with a car driving along Union Road.
The police vehicle, which ended up on the bonnet of the car, was also pinned on a wall.
The female driver of the white Nissan B15 and another passenger in her car were rushed to hospital. The policeman driving the marked police van and another officer were also taken away by ambulance.
The four complained of having pains in the chest, back and neck.
Investigations are continuing by Marabella police officers who were at the scene yesterday but said information was still being collected and could not yet be divulged.
